Practice reading Arabic sentences and translating them to English. This lesson combines the "to have" conjugations from Lesson 5 with new vocabulary words.
Why do words end with “-un”?
The -un ending is called tanween (nunation). It marks indefinite nouns — similar to “a/an” in English.
To find the base word, simply remove the final “-un” sound (the double-stacked damma بٌ on the last letter).

لَهُ بَابٌ
لَنَا دِيكٌ
لِي فِيلٌ كَبِيرٌ
لِي أَبٌ وَ أُمٌّ
لَهُ دَفْتَرٌ وَ كِتَابٌ
لَهَا دِيكٌ كَبِيرٌ سَمِينٌ
لَهُمْ فِيلٌ كَبِيرٌ سَمِينٌ
لِي كَلْبٌ وَ لَهُ دِيكٌ
