When a personal pronoun is the direct object of a verb, it is attached to the verb as a suffix. Using وَجَدَ "he found," learn وَجَدَنِي "he found me," وَجَدَكَ "he found thee," and so on. The object suffixes are the same as the possessive suffixes, EXCEPT the first person, which is نِي "me" (object) versus ـِي "my" (possession).

Why do words end with “-un”?
The -un ending is called tanween (nunation). It marks indefinite nouns — similar to “a/an” in English.
To find the base word, simply remove the final “-un” sound (the double-stacked damma بٌ on the last letter).
